What is The Maritime Lumber Bureau?

  The Maritime Lumber Bureau is a cornerstone of the lumber industry in Atlantic Canada, dedicated to providing diversified and exceptional services to its members since its inception in 1938.

Our mission is to ensure that every piece of lumber that leaves our member facilities meets the highest standards of quality. We take pride in our rigorous quality control expertise and our commitment to regulatory compliance.

The Maritime Lumber Bureau (MLB) takes the job of “quality” very  seriously and has provided market access services for the Atlantic Region’s lumber producers for the past 87 + years. 

As a not-for-profit association, the MLB has a mandate to provide superior service to its members in quality control and enable market access domestically and internationally to regionally produced forest based products.
